Mr. Sanjiv Bajaj is the Joint Chairman and Managing Director of BajajCapital. He is a renowned angel investor, mentor, start-up coach, avid writer, and illustrious media personality. He was born on 27th May 1972 and raised by his parents, Mr. KK Bajaj and Mrs. Sanyokta Bajaj. As a child full of curiosity, Sanjiv was constantly supplemented with a diverse array of knowledge and abundance of highly qualified individuals surrounding him in the Bajaj family.

Having interests in insurance, wealth management, real estate, personal finance, and education, he is a member of many industry bodies, such as the CII National Committee on Life Insurance & Pensions and the CII National Committee on Health Insurance. With his passion for customer-centric life insurance and health insurance products, he has helped build many of the industry's best products. In addition, Fortune India Magazine ranked him 76th in India's Top 100 Angel Investors list.

He showed an early interest in the mystic world of Finance and spent hours refining and expanding his knowledge base persistently.

The Bajaj family placed high value on education and inculcated deeper understanding, nurturing and training to bring out the best in oneself. This virtue came as a prominent feature in Mr. Sanjiv Bajaj persona as well. As for educational background he completed his schooling at Delhi Public School, RK Puram, in 1990 and then enrolled for his PGDBM in Finance in 1993 at FORE School of Management, New Delhi. In 1995, Sanjiv Bajaj started his career with an acute interest in Finance.

As a Business Administration student, he quickly developed a knack for scaling up.

Being an ardent disciple of his father Mr. KK Bajaj - the Founder of BajajCapital with constant support from his mother, Mrs. Sanyokta Bajaj, today he has scaled the family business to over 300 offices in India with 4 Million+ clients.

In addition to his CFP certification, MBA in Finance, and an International Certificate in Financial Advisory from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), London, UK, Sanjiv Bajaj is among the first batch of 25 CFPs certified individuals in India. As a passionate entrepreneur who believes that upgrading oneself is a constant process, he did his Design Thinking: From Insights to Viability, Business Administration and Management, General from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and built the new face of BajajCapital.com. A tech enthusiast to the core, Sanjiv Bajaj is now leading the Digital Transformation of BajajCapital.

Realizing the huge lack of investor education in the market for individuals fascinated by finance, he pledged to foster the Nation's Financial Literacy. So in 2002, he founded India's first and only institution of its kind in the country – the International College of Financial Planning, with his extremely zealous wife, Mrs. Vani Bajaj.

ICOFP is the leading educational institution that specializes in Financial Services Education. ICOFP wrote and built the CFP certification curriculum in India, which is now considered the Gold Standard of education in Financial Planning. The college has trained over 20,000+ industry professionals and helped build the profession of financial advisors in India, as more than 80% of the qualified CFPs in India have studied with ICOFP.
