Sundeep Sikka
Sundeep Sikka is the Chief Executive Officer and the Executive Director of NAM, India(Nippon Life Asset Management Limited), formerly advertised as RCAM(Reliance Capital Asset Management).
He built the Company's domestic operations from scratch when he joined 18 years ago. It was under his instrumental leadership, that the Company forged a successful joint venture with a 130-year-old Japanese Insurance star, Japan's Nippon Life Insurance, which later acquired a 75% stake in the asset management firm.
The Harvard Business School graduate has worked at the Reserve Bank of India, the National Securities Depository Limited, FICCI, the nonprofit trade body, and the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) industry body.
He led the IPO (Initial Public Offering )of NAM India, making the Company the first-ever listed asset management company in the country.
He is an ardent follower of the changing culture, and his life philosophy is, "play to win, don't play to lose." Mr. Sundeep Sikka is the Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer of Nippon Life India Asset Management Limited (Formerly known as Reliance Nippon Life Asset Management Limited) (NAM India). Sundeep has held Vice-Chairman and Chairman positions of the industrial body AMFI (Association of Mutual Funds in India). Sundeep joined NAM India in 2003, holding various leadership positions before being elevated in 2009 when his accomplishments crowned him as one of the youngest CEOs in the country. Possessing rich experience in the financial services sector, Sundeep went on to lead NAM India towards tremendous growth of assets and to emerge as one of the most trusted mutual fund houses in India. He has not only been responsible for the development of the Company but also for forging a relationship with Nippon Life, acquisition of Goldman Sachs Asset Management (India), and listing NAM India on stock exchanges. Sundeep is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and closely works with Regulatory Bodies, i.e., RBI, SEBI, and Ministry of Finance, on matters related to asset management.
