Dr. Deepak Mohanty
Dr. Deepak Mohanty is an economist with over 30 years of experience in the public and private sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, and Master of Arts degrees in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University and Yale University. He also holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Economics from the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics.
Dr. Mohanty has held a number of senior positions in the Indian government, including Executive Director of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India, and Secretary in the Ministry of Finance. He has also served as an independent Director on the boards of several companies.
In his previous role as Chief Economic Advisor, Dr. Mohanty was responsible for providing economic advice to the Government of India. He played a key role in formulating the government's economic policies, including the National Pension System (NPS).
